Feel Secure at Work and Home

Work can be satisfying, enjoyable and rewarding and most employers treat their workers fairly. But some do not and even the best employers can make mistakes. That is where unions come in. Indeed, almost every improvement in workplace conditions came about following union pressure and negotiation: 8 hour work day, better wages, holidays, vacation, sick leave, equal pay for equal worth, health insurance, dental insurance, stronger health and safety laws and the right to a fair hearing.

Unionized employees generally get more pay than non-unionized employees.

Collective and individual representation on pay, benefits, health/safety and many other issues are provided by the union.

Unions often have a vast range of financial and other programs available to their members, covering a variety of needed.
